Details

It was discovered that Ghostscript incorrectly handled writing TIFF files.
A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause Ghostscript to
crash, resulting in a denial of service.

Update instructions

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:

Ubuntu 23.10

• ghostscript - 10.01.2~dfsg1-0ubuntu2.2

Ubuntu 23.04

• ghostscript - 10.0.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu1.5

Ubuntu 22.04

• ghostscript - 9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.6

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
