Canonical offers commercial distribution and support for a pure upstream version of OpenStack. Charmed OpenStack leverages the Juju model-driven approach to build OpenStack clouds. Charms are used within the model to deploy, configure, and manage cloud services, encapsulating all the necessary code and expertise, including integration with other related applications and upgrade processes. This approach enables the rapid and consistent deployment and management of OpenStack clouds.

HPE Alletra Storage provides seamless integration with the OpenStack platform through the Nimble Cinder driver. This integration empowers administrators to configure and manage HPE Alletra Storage 9000 arrays effortlessly using block storage interfaces.

The Nimble Cinder driver offers support for two key storage protocols within the OpenStack environment: iSCSI and Fibre Channel. The iSCSI protocol is supported via the NimbleISCSIDriver Volume Driver class, although Fibre Channel integration is achieved through the NimbleFCDriver.
