Meet Canonical and OpenSearch.org at Open Source Summit Europe 2023

We are excited to celebrate all things open source at the upcoming Open Source Summit Europe 2023 in the beautiful city of Bilbao, Spain. The event will take place on 19-21 September. The summit serves as a reminder of the open source movement’s ongoing significance, fostering a space where attendees can explore the latest trends, developments and breakthroughs. In the three-day event, open-source developers, technologists, and community leaders will collaborate, share expertise, solve problems, and work on creating an even more sustainable open source ecosystem.

Meet us at the event

This year, we will attend the event with OpenSearch.org. Stop by the OpenSearch.org booth, where we will demo multiple OpenSearch projects.

OpenSearch – an ideal choice for search and analytics

OpenSearch makes ingesting, searching, visualising, and analysing data quickly. Developers build with OpenSearch for use cases such as application search, log analytics, data observability, data ingestion, and more. You can also give your generative AI models a broader and deeper data pool with OpenSearch as a vector database.

OpenSearch is Apache 2.0 licensed software, meaning it is open source and run, maintained and advanced by the community. Canonical  is proud to be a member of this expanding community.

Learn about our OpenSearch projects

As many of you know, Canonical’s contribution to open source projects extends well beyond Ubuntu. We will be showcasing two of our projects at this event, with a focus on OpenSearch:

Charmed OpenSearch® Snap

The Snap is an easy-to-use and secure OpenSearch® software package that can be used in any Linux environment.

Charmed OpenSearch® IAAS Operator

The Charmed OpenSearch Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) operator is used to automate the deployment, management, and orchestration of OpenSearch clusters on any infrastructure – including private clouds.
