[London, UK, May 2, 2023] – Canonical, a leading open-source provider of cloud computing services, has announced that Ubuntu Pro is now available in a subscription-included model on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Users can now launch Ubuntu Pro on-demand instances and purchase Ubuntu Pro Compute Savings Plans from the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) console.

Running Ubuntu machines with expanded security maintenance, kernel live patch, and hardening scripts out of the box are a few of the many benefits users can access when launching new Ubuntu Pro machines on Amazon EC2, as Ubuntu Pro enables all these features by default.

In addition, Ubuntu Pro provides access to Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and Ubuntu Security Guide for DISA STIG and CIS security dashboard. Customers can reach out to Canonical for additional 24/7 support.
