It was discovered that Speex incorrectly handled certain WAV files.
An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial of service.

Update instructions

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:

Ubuntu 21.10

• speex - 1.2~rc1.2-1.1ubuntu1.21.10.1

Ubuntu 20.04

• speex - 1.2~rc1.2-1.1ubuntu1.20.04.1

Ubuntu 18.04

• speex - 1.2~rc1.2-1ubuntu2.1

Ubuntu 16.04

• speex - 1.2~rc1.2-1ubuntu1+esm1
  Available with Ubuntu Pro

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
