CVE-2015-8981
Published: 16 March 2017
Heap-based buffer overflow in the PdfParser::ReadXRefSubsection function in base/PdfParser.cpp in PoDoFo allows attackers to have unspecified impact via vectors related to m_offsets.size.
From the Ubuntu Security Team
Hanno Böck discovered that PoDoFo mishandled certain crafted PDF files, resulting in a heap-based buffer overflow. If PoDoFo were to open a malicious PDF, an attacker could cause PoDoFo to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code.
